An Interdisciplinary Symposium on "The Greater Omentum" held in Memoriam of Professor I. Kiricuta (1917–1988), the promoter of omentum use in reparatory surgery, was planned on the 4.- 6. October 2007, at the Institute of Oncology "Prof. Dr. I. Chiricuta" in Cluj-Napoca (Romania).
