The knowledge about the lymphatic system and the patterns of spread of every primary tumour forms the basis of any local treatment as surgery or radiotherapy.
A 3D-atlas of the lymphatic system based on the data set from the visible human male was developed. This atlas make now possible the comparison of Clinical Target Volumes (CTV) from different departments.
Two books on this subject were published: Book3 and Book4 .
